During this interactive workshop, gain confidence in performing a musculoskeletal exam from the shoulders to the hands. Attendees will learn how to distinguish common upper extremity disorders by performing specialized exam skills. Attendees will also be guided through identifying anatomic landmarks and finding appropriate placement for various upper extremity injections. Participants will be partnered to practice exam techniques so please wear clothing suitable for proper examination of the entire upper extremity including the shoulder.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
⦁ Review upper extremity surface anatomy
⦁ Discuss common conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand
⦁ Demonstrate specialized exam techniques to evaluate the joints of the upper extremity
⦁ Perform joint aspiration and injection techniques on task trainers
