Description:

A comprehensive guide for PAs caring for the transgender community in all facets of clinical medicine-- including emergency medicine, primary care, and OB/GYN. This session will focus on patients who have undergone gender affirming surgery and special considerations when providing, culturally competent, comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
⦁ Provide culturally competent and diverse care  
⦁ Recognize surgical procedures specific to the transgender population
⦁ Identify the necessary tests and preventative care patients need during or after surgical transition
